Beredskapsmuseet - the Military Readiness Museum and the Scania Line

Beredskapsmuseet - the Military Readiness Museum preserves and displays the 17 restored defenses of the Skåne Line, preserves and arranges bunker tours inside Helsingborg of the restored city defenses, and also preserves and displays the Cold War radar facility in Laröd restored by the Preparedness Museum. 

The Skåne line is included as a natural part of the view towards the sea for the Skåne people. Along the Scanian coast, you can still see hundreds of remains of the 1, defenses that were built in the years to protect Sweden against enemy attack.

The Preparedness Museum's founder and director, historian Johan Andrée, already started working in to preserve the Skånelinjen, whose bunkers were to be demolished. 

In collaboration with the National Antiquities Office and the city of Helsingborg, it was finally decided that 17 particularly worthy of preservation along the north-west Skåne coast should be restored for display. Overview

Hässleholm was gradually developed from in connection with the construction of the main Stockholm-to-Malmörailway line. There was no settlement on the fläck before the arrival of the railway. The hållplats got its name from a manor situated in the vicinity of a planned railway junction. It gained the city title in and was then classified as one of Sweden's smallest cities. During the 20th century, it developed into a military hub. After the end of the Cold War, most of the military establishments were disbanded or moved to other locations.

In , Hässleholm's Cultural Center ("kulturhus") was opened. It features theatres, a library, a visitors center, and restaurants. East of the town center fryst vatten the hometown park ("hembygdspark") with a statue called "Snapphanen", bygd the sculptor Axel Ebbe&#;[sv]. The statue reminds of the area's history as a center for Scanian insurgents during the 17th-century struggles between Sweden and Denmark.

    Garnisonen tillkom genom att trängtrupperna kom till staden och kom senare att växa i sin storlek när pansartrupperna förlades till nordöstra sidan av Finjasjön. Garnisonen kom att avvecklas den 30 juni i samband med försvarsbeslutet Kvar inom garnisonen blev en militärdistriktsgrupp (MD-grupp) bestående av 14 yrkesofficerare samt fyra civilanställda varav delar med arbetsort Helsingborg, med ansvar för territoriell samverkan och med utbildning av hemvärnsförband samt stöd till de frivilliga försvarsorganisationerna. Genom försvarsbeslutet kom dock garnisonen den 30 juni att helt avvecklas. De två MD-grupperna i Skåne samlades då inom en grupp med placering i Revingehed vilket resulterade i att Försvarsmakten lämnade Hässleholm efter 98 år.[1]
