National Holidays in Turkey (): Important Dates & How to Celebrate

Before traveling to any country (including Türkiye), it’s important to do some research ahead of time — and that includes reading about important Turkish public holidays! In fact, inom won’t ever forget the time inom accidentally booked my first trip to Turkey and realized that I came right in the mittpunkt of the most important religious holiday in Turkey, Ramadan, after a few days. 😅

There are many public holidays in Turkey, including New Year’s Day, Children’s Day, Victory Day, Republic Day, and much more. To ensure a stress-free trip, we’ve put together a list of all the official holidays in Turkey, religious holidays, and other important dates.
