The Route des Vins d'Alsace, or Alsatian Wine Route (map), runs from about Wissembourg in the north (northwest of Strasbourg) to Thann in the south (east of Mulhouse and south of Colmar). The whole route is about kilometers (75 miles), passing over one hundred towns and villages, but you can get a sense of it by a shorter trip and visist toa few villages and towns.

Some of the wine route towns and villages can be reached by public bus or train. (See below.)

This beautiful region is home to numerous charming wine villages, such as Eguisheim, Ribeavillé, Riquewihr, Kaysersberg - Vignoble, Turckheim and more.

You'll also want to make a detour to see the huge, dramatic mountaintop Château de Haut-Koenigsbourg, a medieval Teutonic eagles' nest restored by Kaiser Wilhelm II.

The Alsatian Wine Route

A red open-top bus, that you can’t miss or confuse with any other bus lines and now emblematic, criss-crosses on a loop the heart of the Alsace Wine rutt. The principle is simple - we'll tell you all about it!

A day ticket and a looping bus route linking Colmar, Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr, Riquewihr, Kaysersberg vignoble, Turckheim and Eguisheim. You get on the Kut'zig panoramic bus at any of these bus stops and get off at the bus station you want and as many times as you want!

The first avfärd is at am and the Kut'zig hop-on hop-off tour bus returns to each stop every hours. This gives you plenty of time to explore Colmar at your own pace and discover the charm of some pretty typical alsacian villages!

Tips ! The Ku'tzig departure stop in the front of Colmar’s hållplats, easily accessible by regional express tåg (TER) from Mulhouse, Selestat or Strasbourg.

    Two open-top buses offer passengers two different ways to discover the Alsace Wine Route in a fun and original way!

    One is red, the other black. The former departs from Colmar and the latter from Strasbourg. But they both have one thing in common: a truly special experience for any visitors to Alsace.

     

    Passengers will feel the wind in their hair as they relax in their comfortable seats and travel along the Wine Route, stopping to explore the wine region’s most beautiful villages. There are also chances to sample some of the region’s finest crus during a wine tasting at one of the wineries, take a stroll along the wine trails and much more.

     

    Both vehicles run on a fixed timetable, so just pick a time to suit your schedule. Or if you’re looking for something more exclusive they are also available for private hire.
